The city of Stockholm consists of a total of 11 city district departments. They in turn consist of different city districts. In some areas there are many ongoing projects that are connected to each other. Such an area is called an urban development area.
Urban development areas are areas of large scale, planned for redevelopment into mixed use with homes, businesses, services, streets, parks, culture and sports facilities. An urban development area describes overall goals and starting points for long-term sustainable city development.
